Our main campus is located at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing Michigan. The Surgical Faculty currently consists of full time and part time surgeons who cover a wide range of general surgery and specialty care.

These faculty surgeons also supervise the training of surgical residents and the exposure of MSU medical students to the key principles of evaluation and management of surgical disease.  Education has long been a key part of the mission of MSU Surgery, in keeping with the land-grant mission of Michigan State University that emphasizes community engagement.

MSU Surgery is one part of the MSU Health Team, a multi-specialty practice comprised of teaching faculty from MSU’s College of Human Medicine, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and College of Nursing.  MSU HealthTeam is comprised of approximately 200 physicians and nurse practitioners from 14 clinical departments, as well as many allied health professionals such as nurses, psychologists, social workers, therapists and nutritionists.
